Nutrisystem Nourish

I recieved an email today about my recent posts about Nutrisystem Nourish and how I’m doing on it. The writer wanted to know my feelings about it, as if I haven’t already raved about the program already?

Well – one evening prior to leaving for our honeymoon, I watched an informercial on TV about the Nutrisystem Nourish plan and started thinking about it. I watched the whole thing from the testimonials given by the women (and men) who have used the program and listed to the description of the program, itself.

The concept, to me, seemed great – and appeared to be something that would fit my lifestyle perfectly – at least these days. One of my biggest hurdles in dieting and preparing my own meals is how to know that I’m getting what I need in terms of calories, protien, fiber, fats, sugars, etc – - and how do I know that I’m not exceeding those limits? What attracted me to the Nutrisystem program is that it’s all prepared for you – and it took the guessing out of the picture for me.

The published price for 1 month worth of food (that’s breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack/dessert) was a value, I think. At about $250/month – I no longer had to play the guessing game about what I was putting into my mouth. Of course, the next step would be for me to follow it, right? I mean, they lay it all out for you – - but then the responsibility became mine to follow through.. not that I’m eating their meals and then downing a whole box of vanilla wafers in between, hey? :)

As I mentioned in my last post – I’ve lost 12lbs in three weeks on the program so far. My goal is a 30lb loss – and on this program, I’m feeling real positive that I’m going to acheive (quite possibly even exceed) that goal. My experience with Nutrisystem Nourish has been a positive one so far – - I’m definitley not sorry I made the decision to give it a try!

Motivation and Mindset

I started my NutriSystem program on August 3rd. Not even a full month has gone by and I’ve lost 12lbs so far by sticking to this program. I’m so excited about that – and actually looking forward to my next delivery of Nutrisystem for next month’s continuation of the program. I think 12lbs in 3.5 weeks is nothing to sneeze at and I’m really pleased with that kind of result.

I happily slipped on my size 16 jeans today and didn’t even need to unbuckle and unzip them in order to take them off. I happily slipped on my size 14 jeans today and found them extremely comfortable! I even slipped on my size 12 jeans today and I think a maybe 5 more lbs and I can totally ditch my 16’s and 14’s and give them away to a woman’s shelter, or something.

I love when I get into a real mindset of diet and excercise – - it’s a real high for me, quite honestly. I find that on the days that I have a really super workout – I feel TONS better about myself, compared to days that I don’t work out at all. And it doesn’t take much for me, really – - 20-30 mins on the treadmill followed by a 15-20 min workout on my Bowflex working either my upper body, abs or lower body. After that, I’m walking on air. Compare that to days that I skip workouts completely… those days I don’t feel so hot at all.

Today I woke up and told myself that I needed an excellent work out – - if I keep going the way I have been, I might hit the 15lb mark by the time my kids start school (Sept. 5) which means I have hit my HALFWAY mark toward the total goal of a 30lb loss.

I find it is much easier to keep up the motivation and mindset that I need if I keep working at it every single day. I find that when I miss a day, or two, my motivation starts to slip. It’s just a matter of reminding myself how incredible I feel with a 12lbs weight loss in 3 weeks. When you feel that FANTASTIC – why stop? Why not feel that fantastic every day?
