Kashi and Yogurt!


I’m happy to report that ever since I announced my short break from my program - - I rededicated myself to it HARD. I’ve been just killing myself over here! Ok, well, not seriously killing myself - but really pushing myself to stay ON TASK with this thing. I have less than three months to go until the wedding - - followed by two weeks of a beach/scuba/snorkeling vacation honeymoon - - I gotta get this butt into gear, man!

I hopped on the scale today and discovered a very excellent 6lb weight loss since last week. Of course, there are two factors:

  • I was on my period last week - can anyone say RETENTION?
  • I had been off the diet - so much of it was probably additional water weight

But still! I’ll take 6lbs - - so I am now officially 1lb lighter than I was the day I let the diet go. Go me! I’m only 20lbs away from my absolute target weight and think I can hit that by June. I remain hopefull anyways!

LOTS and LOTS of brown rice and fish going on over here!

LOTS of pilates, treadmilling and toning exercising - - along with a bit of strength training on the Bowflex thrown in for good measure. I’m more determined than ever this time - - I just wish I hadn’t fallen off the wagon because those 20lbs may have already been gone by now!

Arggh.

Found a great, filling and healthy snack this afternoon when I got a little hungry:

About 1/4 cup Kashi GoLean mixed with about 1 cup of StonyField Farms Fat Free Strawberry Yogurt make a REALLY yummy, and filling snack!

Well Hmmphf


This blog was declined at Blog Explosion because: “we are no longer accepting blogs that primarily contain advertising, or promote business opportunities.”. Ok. I have ads up on my site, it’s true - but primarily ads? I have personally written archives dating back to December, so far - which is my own little diary of my progress with weight loss and my exercise programs.. and the share of recipes that I’ve cooked and tried out on my poor family.

But! “Tis ok - Blog Clicker has always given me better returns with other sites I own, so I won’t cry a river. I’ll meet my 20lb weight loss goal even without visits from Blog Explosions members :)

Breakfast Woes


I spent some time this morning talking myself out of the fact that a Rice Krispies Treat would be really good for me, for breakfast. At only 100 calories! (ignoring the carbs and sugar) - it’s cereal, right??? And rice — rice is good!!

*drool*

/sigh - - I ended up forgetting the krispy treat and opted for and egg white omlete and half a grapefruit instead.. but am still dreaming of Rice Krispies and marshmallows!

For example, former professional boxer Michael Olajide, Jr. teaches boxing moves and jump rope routines to give you a sleek physique for the beach. More fitness gurus will be joining the line-up every week through the beginning of June.

Also, in addition to the streaming video, visitors can also download free audio workout routines to use at the gym or wherever they go. All for free from AOL.com - whether you are a subscriber or not.

I’m going to have a look around and see if I find anything of interest or something helpful.
